There are so many fabulous events going on in Devon that they are too numerous to mention all of them, but we’ve picked out the ones that are the closest to the Park and the ones we think are too good to miss.

There’s only one place in Devon where on just three days of the year the county is revealed in all its glory! We’re looking forward to treating our visitors to the best of food, farming and entertainment all in one day.

Launceston Steam Rally
Launceston Steam & Vintage Rally is held every year over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. It is a fun day out with numerous attractions for the whole family that raises money for local charities and organisations. The Steam Rally started in 1982 at Launceston Rugby Club which we outgrew and moved to Five Lanes in 2009. As well as the rally itself we hold other fundraising events during the year to help boost our funds,details can be found here on our website or on our Facebook page.

Roadford Lake Open Day

The Open Day, which will run from 10.00am – 4.00pm, will include a variety of local stall holders and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Have a go at a range of activities including, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, water zorbing, high ropes, archery, bushcraft and fishing taster sessions. Face painting will also be available as well as giant games, a bouncy castle, arts and crafts and much more!

Charles Causley Festival
The Charles Causley Centenary Festival’s programme for June 2017 is taking shape! In addition to the headline attraction event to open the main Festival weekend of 1st-5th June (The Fisherman’s Friends), here are some of the events we currently expect to feature this year:



Royal Cornwall Show
It’s the county’s biggest annual event and is brim-full of exhibits and activities which offer so much in the way of entertainment, competition, information, shopping and all that’s best in food and farming.

Crediton Food Festival
It’s the county’s biggest annual event and is brim-full of exhibits and activities which offer so much in the way of entertainment, competition, information, shopping and all that’s best in food and farming.



Okehampton Food & Music Festival
The Okehampton Festival of Food & Music 2017. This years festival builds upon those that have gone before it, bringing a bigger lineup of local food & drink producers, street food vendors, musicians and food-centric crafters to the town. Enjoy a Ceilidh, buffet and fully stocked bar to bring the event to a close. See you at this years Okehampton Festival!.




Liskeard Show
The Liskeard Show is one of the biggest in the South West, and has always had a wide selection of high quality entries in the large animal classes, and you can see smaller animals, companion dog show, donkeys, poultry, fruit and vegetables, and flowers, as well: or better still, come and compete!


8th July

Stithians Show
Established in 1834, Stithians Show is the largest one day show in Cornwall and one of the largest in the country. The show boasts a wide range of competitive sections, tremendous displays of heritage skills & country pursuits, an action packed main ring and trade stands & local produce galore!



Mid Devon Show
There are also plenty of opportunities to shop, with over 200 trade stands and craft areas selling all sorts of exciting, unusual and beautiful gifts. And when you need a rest, sit under the trees admire the scenery, and eat and drink local produce!

Yealmpton Show
From a Countryside Marquee, to Food Hall, and from Cakes and Handicraft to Diggers and Tractors, there is plenty at Yealmpton Show for everyone, young and old to enjoy.

Woolsery Show
The show has been held annually since 1892, changing from a half day to a whole day about forty years ago, having grown to the major event it is now. The show’s present home is Clovelly Court, which gives it space to accommodate the six horse and numerous livestock rings.

The Honiton & District Agricultural Association – “Where Farming Comes First” The show is annually held on the first Thursday in August and has grown to be one of the largest one day agricultural shows in the country.
